The 2012 Predictions and Prophecy
 

The 2012 Predictions and Prophecy that most people are probably familiar with centers around the idea that at the end of December 2012 (the date varies a little depending on which prophecy you are paying attention to) something cataclysmic will happen to mankind.  Exactly how and why this 2012 Prophecy has come about is also very much dependent on the story you listen too.  Obviously some of the various stories have questionable origins but there is one that has some definite merit that you should listen to.  

The ancient Mayan people were some of the absolute most advanced people of their time rivaling some of the discoveries of our very own society.  One of the things they did extremely well was track time backward and forward and this is the very basis for their 2012 prophecy.

Scientists discovered early on that the Mayan people were extremely well versed in the calendar and knew almost precisely such things as the length of a year, almost exact dates of evolutionary ideas (such as evolution of man, industrial revolution, etc).  The Mayan predictions have been very well documented for years now and it has become apparent that they were on to something very deep and divine. Essentially the  2012 prophecy proposed by the Mayans is that we are about to face (around December 21st or so) some sort of massive shift in human evolution akin to the extinction of dinosaurs.  Note here that the idea is not that we are due to become extinct as people merely that we are to go through a change that is destined to alter the world as we know it.

Other 2012 Predictions

Along with the Mayan 2012 prophecy there have been other indications that there is to be some sort of shift in the human consciousness around the end of that year.  In fact any good predictor who has written anything down (think Nostradamus for instance) will more than likely have a good reference to a 2012 prophecy.  These ideas are certainly nothing new but for so many people to be putting faith in the same date range/time is not and as such makes it all that much more important to pay attention to.  It is very easy now that the date is pretty much widespread for someone to make a prediction about this day so I would not put too much faith into someone who is newly predicting something.

To understand the 2012 predictions you have to really go deep into the roots and figure out what these prophets are trying to say.  With the Mayans it is easy to see that they were not necessarily being prophets at all they were merely examining the construct of time.  This idea that there is an end to the world is not what they were saying but is something closer to the idea that our way of life will be changing or will start to change around this date.  What will you do with the knowledge of the 2012 predictions and prophecy?  Let's hope you make some good choices!
